Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm
- PINS (Persons in Need of Supervision) are adolescents 9 to 17 years old and who have committed a status offense (runaway, truancy, etc.)
- Westchester County’s PINS population is diverted from the formal judicial system whenever possible and is referred by Probation or by a Family Court Judge to our PINS Diversion Unit
- The assessment process conducted by our staff provides the information necessary for appropriate service referrals in the youth's community; if the referrals are accepted by the family, the case is diverted from further court proceedings for at least 90 days
- A therapist sees adolescents in short-term groups or face-to-face counseling as they wait to begin recommended community treatment
- Prepare diagnosis and service recommendations for the youth and family
