1982

The Weekend Center established on October 27, 1982

1983

Began a Children of Alcoholics program, one of only two in Westchester County at the time

1984

Initiated the first Adolescent After School Intensive Program in Westchester County to serve the adolescent user and the family

1990

Opened Generations, the first treatment program for women with children in Westchester; today, serves a state-wide treatment model

1992

Generations program replicated and expanded in Southern Westchester to serve 25 women

2002

In collaboration with the Westchester County Department of Probation, PINS (Persons in Need of Supervision) Assessment Unit established for adolescents aged 16 to 18

April 1, 2003

Assumed operations of Poughkeepsie and Beacon Counseling Centers; agency nearly doubles in size

June 2004

Assumed operations of New Rochelle Clinic

October 1, 2004

Began operation of the Poughkeepsie Methadone Clinic after receiving Article 28 License from the New York State Department of Health

Februrary 2007

Establishment of Poughkeepsie Co-location Program

July 2007

Received grant to provide evidence-based treatment services to substance abusing adolescents in Poughkeepsie; MAPS (Motivating Abstinence through Pro-social Skills) promotes a sober lifestyle to adolescents.

October 2007

Poughkeepsie Methadone Clinic reaccredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA)

October 27, 2007

LCR celebrates 25 years

December, 2007

LCR expands into Rockland County with Airmont and Haverstraw clinics; marks third county in which LCR provides treatment services; Airmont clinic receives license from New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services

March 2008

Haverstraw clinic receives operating license from New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and begins operations

July 2008

Received second operating certificate for second Poughkeepsie clinic site from New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services

Fall 2008

OASAS awards three-year operating licenses to Mount Kisco and New Rochelle clinics

December 2008

OASAS awards three-year operating license to Airmont clinic

June 2009

Airmont begins serving adolescents

July 2009

New Rochelle clinic expands

April 2012

Assumed management of the Rockland County Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program

May 2012

Received government funding to begin a Gambling Treatment Program at the Mount Kisco and New Rochelle Clinics

October 2012

LCR celebrates its 30th Anniversary

June 2013

Received Operating License to run Opioid Treatment Program in Rockland County

May 2015

Opened up Peekskill Clinic and Peekskill Opioid Treatment Program

August 2018

Expanded Dutchess Opioid Treatment Program

August 2022

Opened up Monticello OTP Satellite
